Hello Heat Wave......

Have you seen the weather forecast for this weekend, it's going to be hot... hot... with a slice chance of it being hot!
We think it's going to be perfect weather for sitting in the garden with a pot of Tomato and Basil soup in one hand and chunky piece of bread in the other, with your feet in the kids paddling pool. Why? Just because you can, and the sun is the best excuse there is.

A spanish climb!

Photograph by Sam Bié
We're all about exploring the great outdoors here at Grasshopper, whether it's the British countryside or somewhere further afield - we are always up for an adventure.

Looks like these guys are too. Sam Bié and his friend climbed Monserrat - an iconic mountain in Spain that has inspired many Spanish artists - during the climb, a roll of fog moved in swiftly, making visibility difficult. Sam managed to capture this stunning picture and you can see how thick the fog was... definitely scary, but at least you can't see what's below, right?

Hopefully the pair stocked up on Grasshopper Porridge in the morning to keep their strength up, looks like they definitely needed it.

Earth Day 2014!

Did you know that it is Earth Day today?
If not, then where have you been... it's been happening for years, plus it's trending on Twitter, not once... but TWICE!!

What better way to celebrate then heading out and about with the kids, take them to the local park for a game of tig or head out on a brisk walk! Whatever you do, don't forget to take along a umbrella!

It's national porridge day - hurray!

Great timing as well as the weather has turned a lot cooler - it's time to start getting those wooly jumpers out and don't forget your pots of porridge! Warm up and eat up with these delicious oats.

Climbing in Iceland

Here is 16 year old veteran ice climber Tim Emmett climbing Iceland's Myrdalsjokull Glacier.

Emmett and climbing partner Dawn Glanc spent ten days exploring new routes and meeting locals. Initially they were looking for an icefall to climb but during their time in Iceland the weather was having a warm spell so had to find a glacier instead.

This certainly is a surreal moment and looks stunning!
